On the holidays, I am going....................nowhere. I am not doing anything, not going on holiday or anything. It's going to be pretty boring! One good thing that is happening, is that on the first Monday, it's going to be..........................my birthday! Also, on the 1st of October..........................nothing's happenning. Ha ha, just joking. Anyway, that's pretty much all I'm doing.
Recently, we went to the MCG, or Melbourne Cricket Ground. We went on a tour of the place. We also saw the National Sports Museum, which was underneath the MCG. There was a model of the MCG, a hologram show of James Hird, and a lot of other things. I really liked Game On, the interactive part of the museum. There was simulated achery, cycling, soccer and cricket. There were also activities where you catch footballs and throw them into holes, some computer activities, and one where there is a machine with little circles and when they light up, you have to tap them.
This term we are learning about energy. Every two weeks we will be doing one topic of energy, like air enrgy, chemical energy, electric energy, etc. We are also doing a thing where we have to find a suitable science experiment, then present it to the class, with a partner. My partner, Ned, and I, are making a simple barometer.
This term we are learning about water. Water is the essence of life; it is needed to survive. It's scientific name is H2O, which means that it has one hydrogen molecule, and two oxygen molecules, in a single molecule of water. Water has three forms, a solid form, a liquid form, and a gas form. Aborigines Term 1 Hello, this term we are learning about Indigenous Australians, also known as Aborigines. We had a visit from Murrindindi, an Aboriginal man, on the 6th of March. He talked about his past life of racism and mistreatment, his tribe, Aboriginal culture, and taught us how to throw boomerangs. Everyone enjoyed listening to Murrindindi talk. He also played the didgeridoo, and sang a song to music sticks. He also showed us a kangaroo skin cloak, and a possum skin cloak, which, in his tribe, showed that he is the leader.
